The Best Beauty Looks from NYWF S/S2023 & How to Recreate Them

As 2022’s New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2023 comes to an end, we’re still obsessing over the looks. Runway makeup may seem too avant-garde for your everyday routine, so we’re here to break down these big beauty trends of 2023 and how to recreate them for everyday wear!

BEJEWELED BROWS  BEJEWELED BROWS look
Harlem's Fashion Row showcase gave us Euphoria inspired bejeweled brows
Get the look with Velour's lash adhesive and mini-rhinestones or pearls. This beauty technique is perfect for a night out with extra sparkle or for upcoming Halloween makeup. Dot the lash adhesive where you intend to place the rhinestone and using an applicator, apply where desired. You’ll have no worries applying adhesive to your brows - since it is intended for false lashes it has strong hold but is easily removable after a night out!

2000’s BROWS
2000’s BROWS look
Take inspiration from Doja Cat at the Bronx & Banco display with sultry siren eyes (a straight winged eyeliner that extends the inner and outer corner) and pencil-thin brows. If you aren't committed to recreating this trend with tweezers you can always adhere your brow line with gel, cover with foundation, and then re-draw the brow shape!
Velour’s Fluff’n Brow Pencil is ideal because it has a sharp pencil tip and opposite brow balm, so you can create a variety of brow looks!

DEEP SMOKEY EYES
DEEP SMOKEY EYES look
Dixie D’Amelio at the Cara Loves Karl show wears a deep smokey eye with voluminous lashes. A Classic Cara Delevingne look with a sultry smokey eye with a dark lash. Using a dark pencil eyeliner and deep brown/black shadows, gently smokey out the eye contour with a fluffy brush for a soft (yet impactful) look.
Add a short but voluminous lash like A New Leaf to complete the look!

INNER CORNER EYESHADOW POP
INNER CORNER EYESHADOW POP look
MUAs aren’t shy about adding bold colourful shadows to the inner corner of the eye, like at the Marisa Wilson show. Choose a colour that compliments or contrasts the rest of your makeup look or outfit.
Pro-tip: use an eyeshadow primer or concealer to enhance the eyeshadow's pigment and last all day.
Balance this look with a fluffy lash style like Can’t be Tamed or Whispie Sweet Nothings.

NEW TRENDS: CHUNKY CAT EYE  CHUNKY CAT EYE trend
Check out this chunky cat eye, as seen at Jason Wu’s show and Venice Film Festivals.  The liner takes up most of the lid space and dramatically wings out from the outer corner. The best part - this high-fashion trend is PERFECT for beginners who try to even out their eyeliner and well... make it too thick!
This look is easy to do and long-lasting with ultra-pigmented eyeliner like Lash & Go eyeliner- Thinking about adding lashes to emphasize the look? Instantly snap on Magnetic lashes like High Voltage once the liner is dry!

DOLL EYES
DOLL EYES trend
Doll-like lashes at the Keziah show, emphasize the shape of the eye and add texture with pastel eyeshadows. Styles you could use to recreate this look are Whispie Me Away and Dream Girl. This eye look and lash styles will allow you to create a rounder eye shape or appear more bright-eyed and awake.

NO MAKEUP/ OFF-DUTY MODEL  NO MAKEUP/ OFF-DUTY MODEL look
Bella Hadid walked Fendi’s runway with what appeared to be no makeup. We’ve known this is a gorgeous trend since the start of the year, and it’s incredibly achievable. The secret? Hydration, hydration, hydration. Both skin and lashes should be dewy and nourished.
Lots of MUA’s are flocking to tubing-mascaras for their soft and minimal look. Look for a serum-infused mascara for extra lash health benefits and protection.
Get the look by using Long & Strong Lash Serum nightly and Pretty Big Deal peptide + tubing mascara in the morning for 24hrs of lash care!
