In the last few years, we made the promise to challenge the status quo in the lash industry and become 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free. In 2020, we pledged alongside PETA to Rethink Mink and ban any mink-fur eyelashes. 

Mink has been the standard in the luxury lash space since its inception. So, moving to a vegan material was always going to be a challenge. While creating our Vegan Luxe false lashes, our main product goal was to preserve the whispiness and the natural feel of mink fibres. We spent a whole year working out the finest details and developing a unique fibre technology that replicates the texture, thickness and curl of natural mink hairs. The result? Vegan Luxe lashes that mimic the look and feel of real mink lashes thanks to the most innovative synthetic, vegan material. We also maintained one of our core promises and Vegan Luxe lashes can be worn up 25+ times if properly taken care of, offering the best quality and cost per use.   

As a result, Velour was certified by Leaping Bunny, which represents a verifiable commitment to a non-animal testing policy. 

Since then, we’ve continued to innovate and are proud to share that our new Plant Fibre Lash Collection is entirely made from plant-derived materials! 

What is the Leaping Bunny Program?  

The Leaping Bunny is one of the most trusted certifications issued by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), verifying that Velour has procedures and policies in place to produce all our beauty products with no animal testing. We undertook an excessive investigation into our suppliers and other partners to ensure that every stage of our supply chain is completely free from animal testing. As a brand, we promise to always be 100% cruelty-free, 100% vegan and 100% transparent with our Velour Fam.
